Background of the Study

Sustainable businesses prioritize economic, social, and environmental goals, offering long-term benefits to communities while reducing ecological harm. In rural areas, sustainable businesses play a crucial role in creating jobs, supporting local economies, and improving living standards. In Niger State, a region rich in agricultural resources, sustainable businesses can transform rural communities by leveraging local assets, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting self-sufficiency.

Globally, sustainable businesses in rural communities have been associated with poverty reduction, gender equality, and the preservation of traditional practices.
